The Mod RAG Base Building allows you to modularly build a variety of tight and swampy structures. Thanks to snapping, all the elements will fit together perfectly.
An overview of all modules can be viewed on the mod subpage: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3157695626
To start the game, you will need raw materials: boards, nails and logs and a tool in the form of a hammer or axe. Combining 4 boards and 10 nails, we will see a menu to choose the right set (hologram). The set is crafted in the form of a box – it is also reusable there is no need to create, for example, 10 sets of walls.
Holding the set in the hand we can choose the placement. If this is the first module, snapping will not work – there will be nothing to “stick”. In this case, I recommend turning off snapping (down arrow) to freely arrange the first hologram. It does not need to be built immediately – you can supply more and thus verify your project without using materials. Placing and curling the hologram is completely free.
After changing the snap mode (off/off) often you need to cancel the placement of the item and re-enter the construction mode so that the snap change surprises.
To put an element using snapping, you often need to step back and aim at a greater distance. If there is a different place in the lows that we want, using the right arrow, we can switch between subsequent snap points until it jumps to the right place.
After the hologram of the floor and foundation you can walk. Especially for the foundation, this is a useful feature and allows you to plant higher for, for example, building a storey fence or wall.
After completing the hologram with the right amount of logs, boards and nails, we can build an element with a hammer or axe. The set used to put up a hologram will fall to the ground.
We build doors, windows and doors in 2 steps: first, a frame is created from the hologram and only in the next interaction will we add the right door or window. The same situation is happening with a slanted roof – we can add to the finish of the left or right slant (the construction of a triangular gap between the roof and the wall).
The window (also closed) lets the missiles through – it is worth bearing this in mind 😉
Modules from the Base Building are slightly narrower than the standard fences but higher. They are not very compatible with each other if we care about a compact structure.
The truck is too high to fit through the fashionable gate – if you build a wall above the gate to have a double fence, the truck will not pass. Placing the gate above the gate unfortunately will not work – the gate will be too high and it will not be able to open it. In this case, the best option will be to put 2 classic fences/brothers in place of the fashioned (one above the second).
Finally, a handful of inspiration from the mod architect :
